Why we have a gallery
Soil is easy to ignore because we rarely see it. The Global Gallery makes it visible. Every drawing, poem, painting, sculpture, music and song here was made by someone after exploring the magical world of soil and together they show what people of different ages and countries feel about the ground beneath their feet.
Over time we hope the gallery grows into a conversation that we can share with communities, farmers, schools and decision makers: a reminder that people care about soil when they get the chance to feel it and realise they are made from it.
